Is he only dating me for sex?

Dear Advice Girl,

I went out on a date with this guy. But then this girl - who knows the guy VERY well - told me that he only asked me out to get laid. Should I actually ask the guy I went out with or believe the girl?

Well, obviously, you can't just assume a rumor is true. There's tons of reasons why she might've made it up: maybe she likes the guy too, or maybe she just likes drama. Or maybe she passed it along from someone else who made it up.

The point is, don't make any assumptions. Instead, talk to the guy about it, and make your decision based on what he says and does.

And of course, if the rumor is true and he does anything to make you uncomfortable, head for the hills.
